of The Traveling Knight. Our newsletter dedicated to offering
travel information, tips, news and tour announcements.
TRAVEL TIP: Take a Change of clothes on a handbag.
When traveling with you on a flight take with you a small handbag
with clothes and bathroom items for one day. Many times the
airlines would lose or delay the arrival of the luggage. Thus,
by carrying a change of clothes you should be able to survive one
day without your luggage. Carrying this small handbag might
also result in a bonus gain for you. Many times (during the
busy travel seasons) the airlines will offer incentives for
passengers to wait one extra day. The incentives can be as
high as $1,000 US dollars good for an airline ticket. The main
reason most people do not take those offers is because they have to
be at their destination for some particular reason. The second
most popular reason is because they don't have a change of clothes.

We are happy to announce that the June 2001 Great
Castles Tour has been sold out. We have reached our goal
of 35 passengers. For the September tour of the Great
Castles Tour we still have a few spaces available. They
will be given out on a first come first served basis. After it
fills up, we will only take people on a stand-by basis.
FEATURED CASTLE: Angers
Castle
Angers, the capital of the historic province of Anjou, is
considered one of the most beautiful cities in France.
Foremost among its many notable structures is the magnificent
twin-spiraled Cathedral of Saint Maurice (12th-13th century)
and the massive Castle of Angers (early 13th century), with
its moat and soaring towers. Angers was once inhabited by
fierce Celtic people who tenaciously opposed the Roman

THE BIGGEST TAPESTRY IN THE WORLD
Today the castle of Angers houses a tapestry museum that
includes the famous Apocalypse series of Nicholas Bataille who
did the weaving and Hennequin de Bruges did the painting. It
is 140 meters long. |
