Live on the net since 1995 as a premier site and authority on castles, Castles of the World opens your eyes to everything you've ever wanted to know about castles, from architecture, photographs, real estate, castle hotels, books, site of the week, armor and weapons, a section for children and yes, even a section on building your own castle. And now, since its first expedition in 2000, Castles of the World makes the dream of visiting these wonderful and majestic places a reality with its 15 days European excursion.
Be dazzled as you stroll through the opulent Versailles Palace, minutes outside of Paris, once the seat of French aristocracy. Your eyes will drink in the sumptuousness of French royalty and decadence as you awe at the Hall of Mirrors or promenade through the enchanting gardens. Take a ride alongside the Loire and you'll happen upon things you've only heard of in fairy tales or read in travel magazines-castle after castle, you'll have a hard time deciding on a favorite. You might fall in love with Chenonceau's beauty, the unique arches that tower above the river below; Mont St. Michel's stunning majesty on the sea; or be carried to new heights as your eyes follow the spires of Chambord into the limitless skies. Your stomach will certainly be carried to new heights of culinary ecstasies as you savor an inclusive family-styled eleven three-course dinners and thirteen breakfasts.

From the Loire, you will find yourself at Fontainebleau, Napoleon's favorite residence. At Reims you will feel the spirit of Joan of Arc as you enter the Cathedral, where Charles the VII, the Dauphin of France, was crowned in her presence. From there you'll move around the French countryside through Belgium, Luxembourg and finally to Germany, where you will visit the famous storybook Neuschwanstein Castle, Ludwig II's fantasy castle nestled high in the Bavarian Alps above the Pöllat River gorge. Disney's inspiration for his Sleeping Beauty castle, Neuschwanstein's setting will take your breath away and make a lasting imprint on your heart. Let your fantasy fly as you wonder through the other castles of Ludwig II, Herrenchiemsee, Linderhof and Nymphenburg Palace.

Equally stunning is the red-walled castle at Heidelberg, an exquisite blend of medieval, Renaissance and baroque architecture, standing high on the hills above the Rhine dominating the red-tiled rooftops below. You'll even take horse carriage rides along romantic scenic roads; check out gothic cathedrals and even some must-sees, like the Marstallmuseum with its precious carriages collection. You will wind your way into Austria, where the Sound of Music is still heard. Finally, you will be left breathless as you admired the castles from the Rhine River cruise.

So many castles in so little time, without doubt, you'll soon understand why the Castles of the World tour is like no other!
